You can not catch your breath as you walk the un-ending miles of pathways that explore the beautiful Queensbury Estate, passing sheep crofts, watching Kites soar. Just one mile down a country lane and you are in Durisdeer, where you can follow the well marked trails over the estate tracks to the Roman Fort.

Just outside Muiryhill House is the Enterkin Pass, an old Roman road favoured by the persecuted Covenanters. Hike up to Wanlockhead the highest village in Scotland and enjoy a pint. We can collect you after your long and beautiful walk by prior arrangement. So just ask!

Dine alfresco on Mr Foxes picnic supplied by Muiryhill House.

Just 4 miles away Drumlanrig Castle has way marked walks to suit all levels. These walks are steeped in history and you can re-fresh at their gorgeous cafe.
